Our Founder Story
OnKaru was born out of a mother’s worry.
Our founder, Dr. Fatemeh Jahedpari, is not only an AI researcher but also a mom. Her daughter was bright and curious, yet too introverted to share her worries. Like many parents, Fatemeh often felt helpless — knowing her child was carrying unspoken struggles but not knowing how to reach her.
She wished for someone her daughter could confide in. Someone who would listen without judgment, gently encourage her, and still respect her privacy — while also giving parents the insights they need to help.
That wish became OnKaru.
What started as a personal hope for her own daughter has grown into a mission for families everywhere: to create a toy that is more than just fun. OnKaru is a caring AI, a clever toy, and a cuddly friend — a safe companion that listens, teaches, comforts, and helps parents better understand their children.
